Checkout Summit 2026: WooCommerce Conference for Developers, Builders & Agencies

Checkout Summit 2026

If you build WooCommerce plugins, run an agency, or spend most of your day inside a WooCommerce store, you already know how hard it is to find your people. The kind of people who understand what it actually means to debug a broken checkout at 11pm, or ship a plugin update and hold your breath waiting for support tickets.

That gap is exactly what Checkout Summit is here to fill.

What Is Checkout Summit 2026?

Checkout Summit 2026

Checkout Summit is the first independent, in-person conference built specifically for WooCommerce professionals. Not a generic WordPress event with one WooCommerce talk squeezed into the schedule. Not a vendor expo. This is a focused two-day gathering for the people who live and breathe WooCommerce every day.

The event runs April 23 and 24, 2026, at the Saracen Hotel in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. It is organized by Rodolfo Melogli of Business Bloomer, and WooCommerce itself is the headline sponsor.

Around 150 people. One single track. Twelve talks. All signal, no noise.

Who Is It For?

The event is primarily built for:

  • WooCommerce plugin developers
  • Agency teams building on WooCommerce
  • Technical founders running WooCommerce products
  • Product managers and builders in the Woo ecosystem

If you are a developer who has ever wished you could sit down with someone who truly understands your stack, this is exactly that room.

The Speaker Lineup Is the Real Deal

This is not a lineup of keynote speakers who have never shipped a WooCommerce plugin. These are practitioners:

James Kemp is Product Manager at WooCommerce. Katie Keith co-founded Barn2, one of the most respected WooCommerce plugin shops around. Josh Kohlbach founded Rymera, the team behind Wholesale Suite. Nik McLaughlin works on product at SkyVerge. Karolina Vyskocilova runs Kybernaut. Maciek Palmowski covers security at Patchstack. Jessica Risch founded Woosa. Remi Corson is CTO at SEOPress.

These are people actively building and shipping in the ecosystem. Hearing them speak and getting to ask questions face to face is the whole point.

No Recordings. That Is a Good Thing.

Checkout Summit will not be livestreamed. Sessions will not be recorded. There are no replay links.

At first that sounds like a downside. But think about what it actually means. Speakers can be honest about what is working and what is not. You can ask the question you would never ask publicly. Someone can share a real number from their business without worrying it will end up in a screenshot. That kind of candid conversation is almost impossible to get online, and it is exactly what makes in-person events worth attending.

What the Schedule Actually Looks Like

Arrival is recommended on April 22 with a welcome dinner that evening. The two main conference days run April 23 and 24, with talks starting mid-morning each day.

The schedule includes six talks per day with proper breaks, a buffet lunch, happy hour, and a group dinner each evening. There are also seven dedicated breakout sessions built into the program for smaller conversations and networking.

On the final night there is a casual after-party before departures the following morning.

Breakfast is included with the hotel stay each day. It is not a conference where you are eating a sad boxed lunch in a fluorescent room. The Saracen Hotel is right on the beach in Palermo and the whole setup is designed to feel good to be at.

Why This Matters for Plugin Developers Specifically

If you build WooCommerce plugins, attending an event like this has a different kind of ROI than it does for most people.

You are not just going to pick up a few tips. You are going to meet the people who influence your market. Potential integration partners. Developers whose plugins sit next to yours in the ecosystem. People who have already solved the exact problem you are stuck on. Agencies who are actively looking for plugin solutions for their clients.

Most plugin developers spend years working in relative isolation. Two days at Checkout Summit with 150 focused WooCommerce professionals can change that pretty quickly.

StackWC Is a Founding Contributor

We are not recommending this from the outside. StackWC is a founding contributor to Checkout Summit 2026. We believe in what this event is trying to build for the WooCommerce community and we are proud to be part of it.

The WooCommerce ecosystem has a massive global developer community. Most of those people have never been in the same room together. Checkout Summit is the first serious attempt to change that, and we think it is long overdue.
